ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Vicky Bisbiki

Vicky Bisbiki is a Visual Artist and Creative Technologist. From chaos to order and from order to chaos: is one of the main point of interest in her artworks. In her projects she combines new technologies, programming languages, interactive synthesis and processing of live visuals, sensors, cameras and 3D projection mapping in order to create non linear narratives and to approach the potentials of the space in relationship with humans

She owns a postgraduate degree in ‘ Audio Visual Arts’ (Ionian University, Corfu, Greece) and a master degree in ‘Arts et Technologies de l’Image’ (Fine Arts University, Athens, Greece & Paris 8, Paris France). She has presented her work and has participate in collaborative projects, theatrical plays, festivals, cultural and research projects in Greece and abroad, such as: Centre Dramatique National la Commune Paris, Ionion Center for the Arts and Culture, Onassis Cultural Centre, the Benaki Museum, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, National Theater of Greece and others. She is a member of the artistic collective Medea Electronique from 2015.

 

KEYNOTES

Manolis Manousakis

Manolis Manousakis studied Composition and film at Columbia College Chicago in Illinois. In 2006 he graduated from the Ionian University with a Masters Degree in Electroacoustic Composition. He was awarded his Ph.D in Electronic Music and New Media in 2017 from DMU. He works as a composer and sound artist since 1998. He is a founding member of Medea Electronique and helps run the collective residency Koumaria in Sparta, Greece. He has composed works for small ensembles, solos, electroacoustic installations, video art and multimedia shows. He has also composed the original music for theater shows, documentaries, tv series, short films and theater dance shows.

Davorka Begovic

For the last 15 years, Davorka Begovic has been working in the field of culture and art as a selector and a producer, primarily of music, but also theatre, contemporary dance, multimedia and film projects. She was an associate from the very beginning of the Culture of Change Programme at the Student Centre Zagreb, where afterwards she held the position of the Music Programme Artistic Director. Within that framework she initiated, artistically ran and produced the international festival Showroom of Contemporary Sound. Currently, she works as a freelance musicologist and independent curator, and as a collaborator of KONTEJNER she runs the international project Re-Imagine Europe. She publishes critics and articles, writes texts for discography and other releases.

Ena Hodzic

Holds MA in Art History (2012) and Museum studies and heritage management (2014), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. Works as curator and project organizer since 2010 (Device_art, Extravagant Bodies, Touch Me Festival). She is the programme coordinator for KONTEJNER since 2013 and was one of the curators of Mochvara Gallery (2011-2018) and Sound Art Incubator platform (2012-2018) – projects in which KONTEJNER worked with Culture Development Association “CDA” and Mochvara Club as partners. She is also the consultant for project development, project planning, fundraising and strategical planning for other organizations of the independent cultural scene in Croatia.
